The General Assembly has been set up as the highest decision-making body of Ciett, in which each Member is represented and has the right to vote. The General Assembly may delegate its power to the Board and/or Secretariat.
Amongst its powers, the General Assembly:
- establishes the policy objectives of the Confederation,
- reviews the progress achieved with regard to the main public affairs priorities,
- reviews the activities of the Board,
- sets up the confederations budget and membership contribution table,
- elects the Board members, decides on membership applications and other membership issues, amends the constitution if required.
In 2006, Ciett’s General Assembly adopted a Ciett Code of Conduct which defines the common principles and shared values of all Ciett members.
