The permanent Secretariat of Ciett, which has been established in April 2005, aims at being the focal point of the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies. Its main tasks are as follow:

• To coordinate and implement the public and corporate affairs activities and public relations actions of Ciett, as agreed by Ciett General Assembly and Board.
  
  
• To facilitate the contact and information exchange between Ciett Members and to support Ciett Members in their national activities.
  
  
• To respond to inquiries and demands from international stakeholders linked to the private employment agency industry.
  
  
• To support research on agency work and to coordinate research and data-gathering activities between Ciett members.
  
  
• To facilitate best-practice sharing between the members of Ciett.
  
  
• To inform the Members of Ciett about the latest developments in international public affairs and the worldwide staffing industry by issuing regular newsletters and reports.
  
  
• To enhance the representation of the agency work industry all around the world.
