On October 20th & 21st, the ILO will organise a tripartite workshop focusing on Convention 181 on private employment agencies. This event has been organised on the special request of Ciett & Uni Global Union (and supported by the International Organisation of Employers and the International Trade Union Confederation) to promote further ratifications of the Convention.
As a tripartite event, it will gather government representatives, employers and trade unions. According to latest information from the ILO Office, 30 countries have already confirmed their participation: Cambodia, China, Cote d’Ivoire, Cyprus, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Mali, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Zambia.
Ciett will send a large delegation to take actively part in the event: More than 25 members from 15 different countries have registered so far.
