Former Ciett President Wim Ruggenberg passes away

 

Wim Ruggenberg was Vice-President of Ciett from 1968 to 1990.  From 1980 to 1990, Ruggenberg was also the first Chair of the Eurociett committeee, dealing with the specific interests of the industry in the European Union.

In 1990, he was elected as President of Ciett, succeeding Peter Muller of Adecco, for the duration of 6 years. In 1996 he handed the presidency over to his successor Jean-Claude Daoust and was given the title honorary president of Ciett. Ruggenberg was also the President of ABU, the Dutch association of temporary worl agencies, for several years.

Denis Pennel, Ciett Managing Director, said: "Wim Ruggenberg was at the very begining of the life of Ciett. He is one of the founding fathers on the agency work industry in the Netherlands but also at global level. He largely contributed to the increased acceptance of temporary agency work and fought many battles to gain legal recognition for this very specific form of triangular employment."
